I solved the “viewing PDF problem” by clearing history in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on Mac and Windows when a PDF fails to load! But now with the new version 3.0.4, the browser page cache/history clearing issue may be less of a problem – Thank you

View a PDF Managed by Download Monitor with Display Statistics
In this example, PDF.js plugin is used to view a PDF from a file managed by the Download Monitor plugin, along with 2 PHP scripts I wrote for the Code Snippets plugin to retrieve a secure PDF file, then display incremental statistics: download count and last date viewed.
